Creativity Exercise - week 2

 

 

          Welcome back y'all to my blog! In today's weekly creativity exercise blog I have a cool exercise to share with you guys! So enough with my talking and lets get straight into it.

        There's not a lot of steps to this exercise but it is well worth the the time and levels to this exercise. But to begin with the exercise at least let me give you guys a basic run down of the exercise. "Time Travel Object" is the name of the game and making an object go through time is the aim of the game. With a basic pen or paper, or anything to create your specific object, and your imagination is all what you are going to need to get started.

 

Instructions

  • Choose a Random Object

  • Add the Time-Travel Twist 

  • Answer These Creative Prompts:

-What is this object’s original purpose in its own time?
-How did it end up here?
-What mysterious powers or technology might it hold?
-How would someone in our world react to finding it?
-What story unfolds when someone tries to use it?

  • Go Wild with the Storytelling

                       Hello everyone! Today I was tasked with a assignment that I would hold as one of my most challenging so far. This weeks project was orientated around emotion. To me emotion is one of the harder features that I struggle with as a designer. Instructions Visual Voice Inventory.  Create a collage or slide show of 8–10 pieces of your past creative work (photos, drawings, designs, etc.). Analyze them as a set: Write down the first words or feelings that come to mind for each piece, then look for patterns. Do certain adjectives repeat? Do you see a consistent color scheme or subject matter? Next, ask a friend or classmate to view the collection and describe what they  feel  is  your  voice or style. Compare it with your own impressions. This inventory will help you identify elements that already make your voice distinctive. Based on this, list three qualities you  want  to emphasize more in your voice (for example: “playful humor,” “bold contrast,” “compassion for outsiders”). You Aren't Alone.

 Instructions   1 - Either A - Create a poster for an event, cause, or product that shows your understanding and application of Empathy, Composition, and Storytelling principles.
