Experience
To start off the whole experience, I wanted to make sure that I had the essentials and basic fundamentals when it came to in design, and at first learning a new software meant a ton of different opportunities for me. And a whole lot that I can explore when it came to the software. At first I picked two tutorials that seemed would come in hand when it came down to in design as a whole.
My first tutorial I picked was how to perfect framing and how to create a thank you card for simple uses. At first I would was kinda skeptical on how simple the tutorials would be, but genuinely taking a look and realizing its as simple as it looks, it was a walk in the park. But a lot of things are different from the other adobe software im used to. Framing in in design matters. And I mean it MATTERS. Most of the time you may look at a final project and when you move back and take a good look at it, its off by like 10 pixels or 3000. So getting a hang of how to frame and make sure things are in perfect order was a great addition to the knowledge bank, and also playing around with the thank you template made it feel a lot easier.
And to end off with the second one, I chose how to bleed your image correctly, and to make sure to set your parameter even when working mid project. At first I took a already made design I created recently in Photoshop. With the whole vintage and Black & White feel to the whole image, I wanted to create a cool bleed effect that would effect the whole piece. And learning how to set my parameter correctly it made it so simple to just drag and click, and set the whole piece together. And with the already illustrator like tools implemented into indesign I added to neat text and visuals.
