My Collage of my intrests!

 Instructions

Make a collage. Not just any collage, but one that shares your personal passion with us. Select a theme and gather at least 12 images that can be combined into a cohesive masterpiece. We are looking for an emotion (your passion) and a message (Typography is Way Cool). The challenge you face is combining the images in a visually pleasing manner. We are looking at how you make selections and blend images, your visual hierarchy, your controlled use of color, and your ability to tell a story with a single composition.

This week’s project was a little different but honestly really fun I had to make a collage that shows off one of my personal passions and still make it feel like a polished design piece. The whole idea was to use at least twelve images and blend them together in a way that tells a story while keeping things visually interesting and under control. For me, I decided to lean into a mix of my blossoming interest in photography, my brand-in-progress "Cluub", and my love for design styles like modern, futuristic, and brutalism.

Right in the middle, I put myself with my camera, because that’s where everything starts for me right now. From there, I surrounded it with different pieces photos I’ve taken, posters that show off the design styles I’m chasing, and little nods to typography and branding. The goal was to keep the camera as the anchor point so your eyes go there first, then bounce around the other elements naturally. Even though a collage can get messy fast, I tried to control the chaos with color choices sticking to darker tones and neutrals while letting small pops of color (like the pins) keep it from getting too flat.

I also wanted the collage to carry a certain raw energy. That’s where brutalism comes in. Instead of super clean, smoothed-out edges, I let things overlap, cut sharp, and feel kind of torn together on purpose. At the same time, the modern and futuristic pieces brought in contrast sleek lines, digital textures, and bolder visuals that balance the rougher edges. Altogether, it’s not just random images stuck side by side it feels like different sides of me colliding into one frame.

What I like most about this project is how it pulls my passions into the same space. Photography, typography, and branding don’t feel like separate boxes anymore. Instead, they overlap and play together to tell a bigger story about where I’m headed. This collage almost feels like a snapshot of my creative process right now messy, experimental, but still intentional. It’s a reminder that design doesn’t always have to be polished to be powerful, and sometimes the most personal work says the most about where you’re going next.
