Creativity Exercise - week 3

Welcome back y'all! To the weekly creativity blog! This week just like others has been crazy, but that still isn't going to stop me from talking to y'all about all the crazy idea's and exercises. This month has been a fun and very complicated month. So today I just want to chill out and speak about some of the cool stuff that I have created using my exercise.           With all exercise I usually do them with family or friends to really get the most out of the exercises, but the rare chances that I get to sit down out of a whim and just pour out some cool content its really refreshing, and today was pretty cool. Most of the exercises are just for the week and just a rinse and repeat-esck process, but I really used that energy to put out some cool stuff onto a project. And this project that I named "Blurred" was a cool concept. I used a lot of the more directional blur motive that I ha...

Project 3 & 4 Adobe Tutorials

Instructions  Using one of the beginner projects at    https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/tutorials.html , create a 15-30 second video in .mp4 format. Upload and describe what you learned from the project. Project 3               For my first submission I wanted to create a video demonstrating the use of motion blur effects on video. With the use of a waterfall b-roll footage I found I wanted to see how I could use and experiment with it, and to say the least it is a very simple process. But that doesn't take away from the very complex uses of this simple effect, just like everything in premier you can create very simple 15 second videos with basic effects, but to really push the limits of how you can use the effects you have to tinker and deep dive into the effect. But were not here for that... The motion blur effect really is as simple as demonstrated in the tutorial and makes its great use to make those rough mo...

Creativity Exercise - week 2

Welcome back y’all to my blog! In today’s weekly creativity exercise blog, I’ve got two super fun exercises lined up for you guys. If you’re looking to get your brain buzzing and your imagination in gear, you’re in the right place. So enough with my talking let’s jump straight into it! Exercise 1: Superpower Shuffle This one is so much fun, especially with friends or classmates. Here's how it works: Everyone writes down a totally random superpower on a slip of paper. Toss them in a hat, bowl, or whatever you’ve got— then draw one at random. Your mission: Create a character who has ONLY that power , and then write a quick 1- minute story about them in action. Exercise 2: Mini Ad Agency Invent the most ridiculous product you can think of. Then, write a 1- minute ad pitch to sell it like it’s the next big thing. And that’s a wrap on today’s double creativity workout! I hope you guys have as much fun as I do every w...

Adobe Tutorials - Week 1

Instructions Using one of the beginner projects at  https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/tutorials.html , create a 15-30 second video in .mp4 format. Upload and describe what you learned from the project. My Submission      To start with the tutorial that I decided to do I chose to do "Change clip speed to change dynamic of the video projects". The beginning of this tutorial went through the features of how duration, and speed change can actually effect your clips, and what specifically to look out for when it comes to your certain clips and how it generally is used on your situation. With this he also showed us how to actually find and use the clip speed change option in premiere. This feature really speaks for itself, but the ways you can try to implement it with not only transitions into faster clip speeds, with use of the effects control. You may also use it to make your subject fit into a portion of your video that you may need for either b-roll, or other...

Welcome back y’all to my blog! In today’s weekly creativity exercise blog, I’ve got not one , but two awesome exercises to share with you guys! So enough with my talking let’s jump straight into it. Neither of these takes much time, but they really help stretch your creative muscles in fun and weird ways. First one up?  Exercise 1: " Emoji Storytelling"  Grab 3 to 5 random emojis . Once you’ve got your emojis, the goal is simple make up a story that connects all of them . Here’s a quick example to give you an idea: 🐸⏰🚀 = A frog running late for a rocket launch. All you need is a pen, notes app, or napkin. Let your brain do the rest. Exercise 2: " Genre Swap"  This one is where things get real interesting. Take any fairy tale, myth, or movie you know well, and rewrite it in a completely different genre . Some quick ideas: Goldilocks as a television comedy . Finding Nemo as a Korean drama . You alread...
