Creativity exercises- week 2

Hello y'all! And welcome back to my blog! Boy do we got a week in store for us. This week has been some crazy, wacky shenanigans that have been happening, but we wont let that divert us from our weekly session of exercises, and today I bring another exercises that you can complete in a couple of minutes, and make it be your stepping stone to bigger and greater things.

Without further a do, lets jump into it! This weeks exercise is called Repurposed Product.

The Repurposing Challenge

The idea is simple: Take an ordinary object and think of new ways to use it. This helps you look at things differently, rethink their purpose, and become more resourceful. Some of the coolest inventions and designs come from this kind of thinking!

How to Do It

  1. Pick an Item – Choose something simple like a mason jar, an old t-shirt, a plastic bottle, or even a broken umbrella.

  2. List Its Features – Think about what it’s made of and what makes it special. Is it strong? Flexible? Waterproof?

  3. Come Up with New Uses – Challenge yourself to think of at least five different ways to use it. Could an old t-shirt become a tote bag? A mason jar a cool lamp?

  4. Try It Out – If you can, test one of your ideas and see how it turns out.

  5. Reflect – What was tricky? Did this change how you see everyday object?

And huh? that doesn't sound too bad right? At first looking at this challenge was I was little skeptical on how I can base this on building a greater creative prowess, and expand on my abilities to solve problems. But It really did wonders, it made me look at objects for not what they were, but the value they had to them and how as the developer can see new fit ways to find and create a new solution to a consumers problems.

But I'll let this challenge simmer, and for you guys to try out. Cause I think this one could the best one yet, oh dang... would you look at the time? I'll have to catch up with you guys next time, and like always. See you.. on the next one! 👋
